How dare they lock me outside. It’s raining! So what if I sleep all day and play all night? Who needs to sleep at night?. Is that any excuse for this inhumane treatment?!!

But I’m smarter and there is more than one way to skin a cat-door.

Today I bought home the bird. Me cat. Me hunt. Humaan mum told me how clever I was and gratefully accepted the gift and proof of my prowess*. Even though she didn’t share in eating the catch.

*Human typist’s note – the bird (it was a baby blackbird) – probably fell out of it’s nest cause it couldn’t fly yet despite much flapping of wings after recovering from shock. We also think this because Bob is, in fact and fortunately, a pretty hopeless hunter. Since the bird lived through the first 12 hours we took her/him to Sylvia, aka the north shore bird wing of the SPCA. He/she will no doubt be fine.
